Meet Dr. Truong

From Seattle to pediatric dentistry

Dr. Kurt Truong earned his dental degree at the University of Washington and completed his pediatric dentistry residency at Riley Hospital for Children in Indiana. He later practiced in rural Arizona and New Mexico, caring for families who often traveled hours to see a pediatric dental specialist.

That experience shaped Pleasant Valley Pediatric Dentistry and its belief that every child deserves thoughtful, specialized care.

Dr. Truong holds a DDS and MSD and is board-certified in pediatric dentistry, and his team supports families in English, Spanish, Russian, Ukrainian, Mandarin Chinese, and Korean. He is also a dad of four, which keeps his pediatric expertise in perspective at home.

Meet our mascot crew

Black bears are native to this part of Washington, making them a natural mascot for the little cubs growing up here.

Meet Patty, our big black bear. Patty can be mom, dad, grandma, or whoever is bringing your little one in. Her baby bears, Berry and Hubert, are playing on a log nearby, along with Speedy the squirrel. There's a hollow log kids can crawl through, too.

A pediatric dental visit should feel more like an adventure and less like something to worry about.

A space built for kids to feel comfortable

Private treatment rooms give children more privacy when they need extra time or reassurance. There is also a calming room near the lobby for kids who need a quiet break before continuing.

Around the office, you will find toys, TV, sensory baskets, stickers, and goodie bags for the cubs, plus water for the grown-ups and coffee upon request.
