A simple way to refer pediatric patients
Pleasant Valley Pediatric Dentistry accepts referrals from general dentists, pediatricians, and community health clinics across Clark County. Submit a patient through the form on this page and our front desk contacts the family directly to schedule. No paper packet, no fax machine.
What we take referrals for
Children who need treatment under nitrous oxide or general anesthesia
Extensive restorative work on primary teeth, including pulpotomies and crowns
Patients with sensory, developmental, or mobility needs who are difficult to treat in a general chair
Dental trauma, including avulsed permanent teeth
Children who need a pediatric specialist and have private insurance or Washington State Medicaid (Apple Health)
Families who need their child’s care explained in Spanish, Russian, Ukrainian, Mandarin Chinese, or Korean
How the Vancouver referral program works
Fill out the form with the patient’s name and date of birth, a guardian’s contact number, and the reason for referral.
The form goes straight to our office email.
Our front desk calls the family to schedule, and follows up if the first call does not connect.
What we handle in-house
Dr. Kurt Truong holds a DDS and an MSD and is board-certified in pediatric dentistry. He trained at the University of Washington and at Riley Hospital for Children in Indiana, then practiced for several years in rural Arizona and New Mexico before returning to Washington.
Our office provides nitrous oxide and general anesthesia, zirconia and stainless steel crowns, pulpotomies, space maintainers, extractions, composite restorations, sealants, silver diamine fluoride, and same-day trauma care, including re-implantation of avulsed permanent teeth.
Coverage and cost for the families you send us
We accept Delta Dental PPO and Premier, Aetna, Ameritas, Anthem, Assurant, BlueCross BlueShield, Cigna, Guardian, MetLife, Principal, Sun Life Financial, The Standard, United Concordia, United Healthcare, and Washington State Medicaid (Apple Health). Cash and credit cards are accepted, and bills can be paid online through Rectangle Health.
For families between plans, we offer a $150 flat rate for an exam, x-rays, cleaning, and fluoride. We also provide second opinions for parents who are uncertain about a treatment plan they were given elsewhere.
You can refer a patient without knowing their coverage. We will sort that out on our end.

Yes, including infants. Babies and young toddlers are examined lap-to-lap on a parent’s lap rather than in a chair.
